Dave Couse, formerly of AHouse, returns to action on 22 October 2005 together with his new band, the Impossible with the launch of "The World Should Know" on 1969 Records.
Already hailed as "Album of the Year" by Tom Dunne of Pet Sounds, Today FM, the album represents a return to form for Dave with song-writing of the highest calibre. Caustic, cynical, yet warm and sincere. "Couseian" if you will.
Dave is still railing against all he sees wrong in a superficial and fake world, but there is a real beauty and depth in much of the work here. Tracks like "As the Colours" and "Little Darlin" dealing with difficult topics in a sublime musical setting.
Ably supported by the mighty Impossible, the record contains the massive hit single "Batman & Robin", a tail of friendship lost and the powerful ballad "Beauty Is".
The World Should Know is the second album released by the newly formed 1969 Records and has received glowing reviews countrywide in the media, the general consensus being Couse is (thankfully) back to his best.
